Terms of service

These terms govern your use of Easy Ledger, an online accounting service for Sri Lankan businesses operated by a company registered in the United Kingdom ("we"). By creating an account you agree to them.

Your account and your business

You must give accurate information and keep your password and authenticator app safe.
The business owner controls who can access the business and with which permissions.
You remain responsible for your books, tax returns and filings. The service prepares figures; it does not file on your behalf.

Tax and accounting information

Tax rules, rates and due dates are reviewed by a qualified accountant before they are used, and each calculation records the rule version it used. They are not professional advice. Please check important decisions with your own accountant.

The AI accountant

AI answers can be wrong. Answers show their sources; check anything important.
The AI never posts, pays or files anything by itself. Changes it suggests only happen after you approve them.
Your conversations are sent to our AI provider to produce answers, with storage by the provider switched off.

Plans, payments and AI credits

Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly, as you choose, in Sri Lankan rupees, in advance, excluding taxes. Yearly billing costs 10% less than twelve monthly payments.
Included AI credits reset each month (also on yearly plans) and don't carry over.
Credit packs you buy last 12 months from purchase and are used after your included credits. They stay in your account if you downgrade and work again when you re-upgrade.
If a payment fails you keep full access for 7 days, then the account becomes read-only until payment is made. If it still hasn't been paid when the payment retries end (about two weeks after the first attempt), the paid plan stops and Free plan limits apply. Your data is kept, and you can pay or subscribe again at any time.
You can cancel at any time; the plan stays active until the end of the paid period.
When a business moves to a plan with fewer users (by downgrading, cancelling, or when Free plan limits apply), the team members added most recently are paused until there is room: owners are never paused, nothing is deleted, and paused members get access back automatically when the plan has room again.
Refunds are available within 24 hours of a payment, as described in the refund policy; after that, payments are not refunded.
When we change a plan's price, we tell you first and the new price applies from your first renewal on or after the date we give.

Fair use

Don't misuse the service: no unlawful activity, no attempts to access other businesses' data, and no automated scraping. Plan limits (documents, storage, emails, bank rows, automations, AI credits) apply as shown on the pricing page.

Your data

Your business data belongs to you. You can export it at any time. When you close a business we keep accounting records for the period the law requires, then delete them. See the privacy policy for details.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Changes

We'll tell you about material changes to these terms at least 30 days before they apply.
